Default Anyone use a laser bullet with Laserlyte target in 625 .45ACP?

I've got a 625-8 that takes .45 ACP.

I just picked up the Laserlyte Quick Tyme laser target:

LaserLyte — Quick Tyme(R) Target

I didn't get their .45 ACP laser bullet as it uses o-rings which I've read complaints of it throwing the laser off. Also not sure if it would fit a revolver. LT-45: LaserLyte — Trainer Pistol Cartridge

So I'm looking for recommendations on a laser bullet to use with the Laserlyte targets? I want one where the laser is activated via pulling the trigger and hitting it with the pin. I'll also use this to align up my sites via holding down the trigger.

Right now I'm looking at the G-Sight 45 ACP: .45 ACP Premium Laser Bore Sight | G-Sight Solutions LLC

Wanted something that looked more like a bullet and not sure but may put it in moon clips. Only thing is the laser in that bullet isn't as powerful as the laser in the laserlyte 45 ACP bullet. Not sure if that would matter or not.

G-Sight 45 ACP: Output Power 3mW, Wavelength 635 nm.

The Laserlyte LT-45: Has a class IIIA, 5mw power output and a 650 nm module.

Look at Laser Ammo. They have a nice line of laser bullets, targets, etc. I use their laser bullets and targets.

Their bullet and Laserlyte target should work as the laser freq and power are compatible. However I would talk to them to verify.

They have a standard backcap and also one that doubles as a boresight.

"I'll also use this to align up my sites via holding down the trigger." I am not sure how that would work. The firing pin hits the cartridge and withdrawals. The boresight backcap will turn on the laser on the 1st trigger pull and then it off on the next.

Their 45ACP adapter will not clip into moon clips. However it will work w/o being in a moon clip. I am using one in my 325 Thunder Ranch.

I tried the Laserlyte Trainer Pistol Premium - LT-PRE laser bullet in one of my revolvers. The laser fired off OK. However I could never get the laser bullet to fit into the front of the barrel right. It was either too loose or too tight. Lastly, the elevation adjustment did allow me to get it sighted in. The laser was always too low even at max elevation. However the Laserlyte bullet did work with my Laser Ammo Pet target.

One last thing is sighting with my Laser Ammo. I find that where the laser hits is not where I am sighted. It is consistent but is off. In looking at the GSight laser bullets, I see they have 2 O rings. This might help make sure the bullet sit properly. The Laser Ammo bullets do not have any O rings.

Let us know how you make out. I am interested.

The G-Sight 45 ACP that I was looking at doesn't use orings:

Here's that one:

.45 ACP Premium Laser Bore Sight | G-Sight Solutions LLC

Though the G-Sight ALSO offers a 45 ACP laser bullet that will stay lite up the whole time. It's $20. I'll probably at least get this so I can line up my sights easily:

.45 ACP LASER BORE SIGHT | G-Sight Solutions LLC

Here is the G-Sight you were referring to that uses the o-rings. Not sure which is better this or the first link I posted:

.45 ACP LASER TRAINING CARTRIDGE GEN2 | G-Sight Solutions LLC

I've read complaints of the orings on the Laserlyte 45 ACP bullet throwing the laser aim off and them having to get new orings.

The other reason I was thinking of getting the G-Sight bullet that doesn't use the orings is because you can put it in moon clips. As I'm not sure how tightly the bullet will fit, or if it will want to fall backwards out of the cylinder. You know, don't know until you have it and try it out. So was thinking of going with the first one I posted above for my laser trainer as if the bullet was wobbly in the cylinder, or kept wanting to fall backwards, I could put it in moon clips to stabilize it.
