The Last of my Lew Horton Set
About 2 years ago I set my sights on a special series of 3" PRELOCK Lew Horton revolvers. This series was manufactured from 1998 to early 2000 and featured consecutive product codes.
The guns were as follows:
657-4 .41 MAG (148119) 154 units
610-2 10 MM (148120) 318 units
625-7 .45 COLT (148121) 555 units
625-6 .45 ACP (148122) 155 units
Each features a satin stainless finish, rosewood Altamont RB combats, RR/WO.
I was able to locate and take ownership of a boxed/complete example of each within about a year of searching. So here I was thinking I was done....until a few months ago.....
Up on the BIG auction site pops a 625-7 .45 COLT....but with a "two tone" satin stainless frame, brushed stainless cylinder. This thing is the spitting image of the consecutive product code set....I've got to own it!
I contacted Lew Horton on this one.....turns out this was a special run for them in 2000 (the end of the other set). 625-7 .45 COLT, 2 tone finish. Product code 149141....1 of 40 units! Earl believed these were assembled from parts left over from the other runs. Very glad to have this one in the stable.
Enjoy the photos.....

I remember back a few decades - before the Net - and the Shotgun News always had ads from Horton. Being naive, young and totally ignorant, I passed up many a chance to get a few of their "specials".
20-20 hindsight can be a real eye-opener sometimes! Nice collection!

That is a nice collection of oddball caliber revolvers. Well, I guess not really. Just the 10mm.

Congrats Dan, beautiful collection there. I seen that one and kept saying to myself why it could not be a 45acp instead of 45 LC . Glad to see you got it for your collection.

You have a beautiful collection, sir. I was lucky enough to snag a Lew Horton many years ago. That .45 Colt is awesome, as they all are. Here's my humble-offering in 10mm.
