Default New to Me Model 25-9

Picked up a NIB 25-9 today for $1K OTD. Dealer said "unfired" so I will call it NIB as it has a light ring on the cylinder. I am thinking of getting a .45 ACP cylinder for it. Figured the forum would be the best place where to get one. Can I use or does it matter which dash numbered cylinder that I use? Thanks.

Congratulations on the firearm

What configuration is yours?

What barrel length 4", 5", 6"?

And you know we love pictures

Most 45ACP cylinders will be too short to use in a model 25 chambered for 45 Long Colt. Also the engineering revision is important on this one since the -9 introduced the longer stop notches in the cylinder.

What you will probably need to find is an additional 45 Long Colt cylinder and then have it cut for use with 45ACP.

Is this the one with the 5-inch barrel, unfluted cylinder, and matte finish? Did it come with the black Hogue grip?

Why not just get the existing cylinder machined to use moon clips? Then you can shoot .45 Colt, or .45 ACP.

Adios,

Pizza Bob

Does it look like mine or is it blued with a fluted cylinder in 4 inch or 6 inch? Either way nice snag at 1k, you don't see them often. Lets see some pics!

In addition being able to shoot .45LC's, .45Auto-Rims, and .45ACP's... It would be able to shoot .45Supers and the .460 Rowland as well!

.45 Auto Rims are a no-go in a gun chambered for .45 Colt even with the moon clip modified cylinder.

My 25-13MG, modified by TK Custom

Adios,

From TK? Just the cylinder machined for moon clips.
