Stainless version of the last FBI issue revolver................. I've had one since 1986/7....... great carry gun!!!!!

Introduced at the peak of the Wonder-9 craze and the FBI Miami shootout....everyone wanted a gun with 15 rounds up its butt..... Beretta 92,Sig 226 Smith 59.....................it was largely passed over. If it had been introduced in the 60s or 70s along with or instead of the 2 1/2inch 66 there would be a million out there.

By its introduction qualifications had begun to require DOA shooting out to 15-25 yds.

I had a M64 and a M65, both in 3". I thought enough of the 65 that I gave it to my daughter for her 21st birthday (her apt. was in a slightly shaggy part of town).

I had an M65-3 inch. Super solid gun... one of the few I ever sold... one of them I wish I never had.

I also bought one of the Mass. State Police 649 Bodyguards that came to the market at the same time. It served me well as a backup for 20 years.
