Default 63-5 just got better

I recently picked up a new kit gun but as usual the grips were not for me . I needed a larger grip and I found these in the back of the safe . I forgot I had square butt grips that work on round butts . A little old can do wonders for something new .

It certainly is a good looking .22! Most of my revolvers have some type of target stocks on them. Just "right" for me. Bob

Those are gorgeous stocks! If I remember correctly, these are "plainclothes" targets, right? Rounded at the bottom to be more concealable? Though, as your photo so clearly shows, concealing them would be a tragedy! Nice find in the back of your safe!

That is a very fine looking .22. How well does it shoot?

The stocks have definitely helped. 2 1/2" at 50' with Browning 40gr. round nose was the best group , but I'm not as consistent/comfortable with the j-frame as I am with my k-frames . So I guess I've got the perfect reason to shoot more often.

That's some good shooting in my opinion. People think revolvers are obsolete these days but if I have to take a shot at any distance, give me a revolver.

I own a tree farm in rural S.C. I always carry a pistol of some sort but anything larger than a J Frame is a PITA when getting on or off the tractor or doing my other tasks down there. I would probably take those beautiful grips off but your gun would be handy there.
