Default A little different Gunsmoke

Since I usually only like pre-lock guns, I had never even heard of these guns until I bought this one from a friend of mine. It is the Performance Center Gunsmoke Deep Wyatt Cover edition. It was like new in box. Since the trigger, hammer and flutes were already polished, I spent about 3 hours polishing the cylinder and ordered a new set of grips from Ajax. ( Still have a little more polishing to do on the cylinder ).

What do you think?

Hole or no hole, that looks good to me. I like the two tone look you got going there. Congrats!

Looks good to me! I have a 637 that I bought a new hammer for and bobbed the spur. It's one of my two edc's! Enjoy!

the show american guns was interesting. The owner got busted for tax evasion and I believe is in prison now. here is what the gun looked like when they first came out on the market.

Sorry- I will have nothing to do with that individual and it's too bad S&W got sucked into his web of deceit. He is a stain on the law abiding and ethical firearms business, and deserves every moment of Federal Prison time he hopefully receives at sentencing very soon.

I didn't understand why they used a 637 with a bobbed DA only hammer instead of a 642, but I guess they just wanted it to be different. Pretty guns though!

I totally agree, but what is sad is that they did it voluntarily before any restrictions went into law.

When this "Wyatt" PC variant came on the market, many posters were unhappy about the logos on the gun. I paid more attention to the fact that it's a slick carry piece, even though I ditched the hip-grip knock-off and installed UM boots.

I really wish more recent PC J-frame offerings were as well-made as the Wyatts. To my displeasure, I find many are not...

Hmm. I may need to polish the cylinder on my 642...

Very nice. For me, that might be a safe queen. The hole is not a problem.
