New to me 325pd (range report)
Thanks to you guys a went ahead with purchase and picked up the gun from the (325 pd you wont believe it) post. Picked her up today and just gave her a light cleaning and lube with ballistol in my car at range, then I installed my new Altamont grips on her. She is looking good now! A very generous member from this site sent me some moon clips I had loaded up 4 last night. The gun shot great I posted a picture of first cylinder down below. I love the gold bead front sight but the rear blade is loose so I kept recentering it between each shot. I have a new blade kit on the way in mail to fix that along with auto rimmed brass too. The kick from recoil is pronounced but not painfull in any way just more pulls the gun up with muzzle flip more than anything. All in all pretty accurate I shot the 4 cylinders with no problem. I really like gun but very difficult to remove shells from clip. I just waited till i got home and used a screwdriver to get em out. Thanks again for eveybody that encouraged me to get it, I gotta a good deal. Now just need to find a bargain on a model 57 for 41 mag and a model 25 for 45 colt then I will have revolvers in all the common calibers, the search always continues.

I use the BMT mooner/demooner Model N45-6 with a 625-2
BMT Equipped, Inc.
IMO it's the best of the best.Oh and most expensive.
Since I've been mostly 45 Auto Rim the tool is laying idle.

I use a cheap demooner for my 325 TR. Works fine. Also by only loading 5 instead of 6, the ammo seems to go in easier.

I don't carry my 625-2 or use it for home defense so loading one Auto Rim cartridge at a time or putting 45acp in without moon clips works for me at the range.
I own 4 different demooners and 2 of the four do both mooning and demooning.
One day they all may be listed in the classifieds.

As I discussed in the otehr thread you need a moon clip tool to remove the brass easily, quickly and simply. Go to revolversupply.com

The BMT moon clip tool is heavy duty and very well made, but priced accordingly.
Less expensive tools:
Brownells moon clip stripper:
BROWNELLS MOON CLIP STRIPPER | Brownells
This one will load the moon clips (and strip too)
Products - MOONCLIPTOOL

Rimz poly moon clips are awesome for range use! I use them in my 625 JM. NO tools needed. Bob

I've enjoyed my 325 PD for many years. I use the same mooner/demooner setup as mr black, along with Wilson #69B5 moonclips. Load twenty or more at a time for the range. Six just drop right in. The clips have been used a lot with no sign of wear.

Those grips are from Ahrend's. Tight fitting. I shoot a lot and prefer smooth over checkered. I do keep all the originals though.
You've got a nice pistol, and will enjoy it.
I am a steel and wood guy and bought mine on a whim. Pleasantly surprised was I.
