USA Made Clone Target Grips On Ebay
I finely found some decent reproduction USA made target grips. there not perfect but for the price they are way better then the freakishly large Thailand grips that cant use a speed loader. I did have to slightly oblong one of the roll pin holes to get the halves to perfectly line up but it wasn't much farther off then some original ones I have seen. I put them on my shortened barrel 25-2. the 80s style large speed loader cut out really helps with the full 45acp moon clips. chris872 was the seller on ebay and I paid $66 with shipping included for the N frame grips.

Stocks look good to me, and I love your cut down 25-2. (smile)

The cool part about the grips is you actually get the ones in the picture. So if you don't like the wood grain pattern on the ones for sale just wait for new one to be posted.

Love that cut down 25. Who makes those semi-wad cutters in the picture?

I saw these too.
Back side:
Screw appears to be brass, like the Thai grips.
Agree they do look nice.

I use plated 200gr swc from The Bullet Works with 700x powder. They are decent for accuracy and the cheapest plated bullets i have found. works good in my competition double stack 1911 to.

Those stocks look pretty righteous until you look at the inside. I have a gun or two that needs stocks and wouldn't have a problem putting those on them. Shooter grade guns, of course.

Is that real wood, or "faux" wood?

Wood appers to be real. The insides of mine looked good. Definitely for use on a shooter grade gun or if you put your original ones in the safe so they don't get damaged and still want the factory look.

I looked on ebay and the Seller does have 100% positive feedback. His stuff (at least what I saw) looks really nice and while they do fall just short of being exact, for the price I suppose they are a very good choice. NICE to see they are made in USA too! IMHO WAY BETTER than the Altamonts which are the laminated type (never cared much for them).

They look pretty nice and fill a niche in the accessories market.
The inletting looks slightly rough but not a lot worse than many later S & W factory stocks without the stock discs. Maybe the maker will branch out into Special Target stocks...

The Altamont Cokes are solid wood, not laminate as their others are.

I also use 700x. If you don't mind sharing, how many grains are you using and for what distance?

5 to 5.4 gr of 700x. The lighter load dose just fine on my dueling tree and snaps the plates over just fine. This is a picture of average 5 shot grouping with this load off my bench at 25 yards. Perfect for shooting speed steel.

Much better than what I'm used to seeing in that price range.
Usually, for that money, it's automatically gonna be either laminated stuff, which I abhor, or Thai rainforest who-knows-what wood.
