Default Nickel 24-3

Did Smith & Wesson produce any 4" nickel 24-3s? Got a chance to buy one but not sure it's original.

I'm not the last word on such things, but I don't believe they did.

24 - blued

624 - stainless

I had heard of the first 25 engraved nickel guns, but this one is plain nickel plate.

I agree, if I can get him down a bit, I'll pick it up as a shooter. Thanks all.

Can't really tell, all I have to go by are some pics. Looks like a good job. Any guesses on a value. I may be swapping one of my old Winchesters for it.

Unless you really want THAT gun I'd look for a used 3" or 4" Model 24 or better yet a used 629-3 or dash 4 with endurance package in which you can shoot both 44 magnum and 44spl.

An original factory nickle will have the N markings.

Sorry,I'm not a nickle lover.Price and condition should be the determining factors.

If it's not factory nickle then stay below $650 in your offers.

I have two 24-3s and a 624. If I can get a favorable swap, I may get it for the heck of it. Trying to trade off my long guns extras for nice Smiths.
