625-2 - new to me - can I feed it +P ?
Looks like I'm going to be a new dad; a 625-2 will be joining the family soon
An existing family member, a HK Mk23 enjoys eating up 185gr +P, and really shines on that diet.
Would the same diet cause indigestion on the 625?

Reason: Typo on HK model... it's a 23, not a 21. Dang phone keyboard...

There's not a factory load out there that a 625 can't handle. Enjoy, and be sure to post a range report with pictures.

There's really no reason to shoot +P in a 625 or any other 45 wheel gun unless hunting with it.
An unaltered 625-2 is the most accurate revolver I own.
I load 45 Auto Rim cases for it.
IMO,the 625-2 is too big to EDC and too few rounds for home defense but really great fun at the range.

Clark custom guns will convert one to 460 Rowland for you, so I imagine. 45 acp +p is no problem

I agree, I don't have reason for it, other than that's what I have in stock.

Who do you like for components?
I'll be reloading for the 500 this fall, and I imagine there's a wider range of options for 45

Enjoy your "new" 625.

OP, I shoot a semi-regular diet of .45Super out of my 625-8... It's my go to woods carry revolver for sure. You shouldn't have any problems at all shooting .45acp+P's...

It is semi-autos you have to worry about with HOT 45acp. Not a 625. It should take whjatever you can fit in there.

Well, the deal is done!
Pics and range report will be delayed for a bit... she's going out to get refinished before the real glamour shots.
When she's back, I'll put up some before and after pics
