Model 327 MPR8
Hi,
Well another gun show, another Smith wheel gun. Just got a
model 327 performance center MPR8 with box and all stuff. A friend said I can't shoot my lead wadcutters in it. Something to do with the rifleing in it. Have no idea what that's all about, none of the included paperwork mentions anything about this. Can someone here help me with this question, sure don't want to mess up a nice gun.
Thanks in advance,
Guy

Should be no trouble at all firing wadcutters as this model has rifling like most any other S&W.

It's a S&W, not a Glock. I shoot lead semi wadcutters from mine all the time.

Thanks a lot guys, this is what I sort of thought, all my other
Smiths shoot lead without a problem, but it's always good to
verify before being sorry.
Thanks again,
Guy

So that's why it quits going bang after only eight shots.

I shoot wadcutters out of mine all the time. S&W said nothing less than 125 grain projectiles though.

I have heard the same thing that the rifling is different. It has been discussed a bit on this forum. Not sure how the debate actually ended.

I have only shot .38 Special 125gn lead bullets in Steel Challenge competition. My friends say I shoot "groups" of one inch on the steel targets. Whatever the rifling is; it works well with the lead bullets I use.
