Default N Frame Grips on an L Frame

I had tried a bunch of boot grips on my 686 and found them not meaty enough for my large hands. I ordered a pair of boot grips from Hogue for an N frame and trimmed the ears at the top down a bit and love the way they feel. They have about 1/4" more palm swell on either side than any other boot grip I had found.

It is all about "YOU", and making the gun feel right! Some here feel that guns need the right stocks to be proper. Use what feels/ look good to you. Bob

Default Terrific work -

Now if S&W (or someone) would produce an N-frame boot grip similar to the one they make for the J-frame, I'd be a happy camper.

You, Sir, should be congratulated on your innovative work!

Here is a video of a guy who did the same thing with a 3 inch 686 and N frame boot grips. About a minute and a half in.

Like yours, his turned out well. They would, of course, work on a K frame as well.

Best,
Rick

HIM!!?? I guess subconsciously I must have picked up on that from the video...the 3" 686 and the JW O'rourke holster was a very conscious pull.
