Default 29-2 Production Date help please

29-2 6" blue SN N739072 Transitional ..... recessed but not pinned. Would someone be so kind as to look up the production date. My understanding is that this is a low serial number.

According to published information, the N 700000 guns were made were made in 1980, well before the transition from pinned/recessed features. The frame may have been made early and not assembled until the unpinned barrel was available (1982ish). A letter of authenticity would tell you for certain:
