Opinions on Culina targets?
I'm really thinking of pulling the trigger on some Culina targets for a very special revolver but for whatever reason their targets look oversized. What is the opinion on their target grips for people that have some?

I have a medium sized hand and they fit me very well. The sets I have are slightly smaller than my original "Coke" grips. They do have a little more flair at the bottom, which I like. They are much smaller than later, as in 1970's and later S&W target grips.
Two pictures of my latest set.

Opinions on Culina targets?
I think they look and feel/shoot great on N and K frames! I'll continue to store the original grips and add Culinas to some of my favorite shooters.

And a 4" M617 .....

These are Padauk wood. I like Culinas on k/l frames. (Ahrends on N frame.).

Well I placed an order for some in Dark Cocobolo. Pictures when they arrive, it will be a while I'm told. But that's perfectly fine.

Here's a set of dark cocobolo on my 629-4 Mountain Gun. You won't have any regrets.

I have 2 sets already on a couple of model 27's and another set on order. They are some of the most comfortable stocks I've ever shot with. And absolutely gorgeous to boot.
This first picture is my Cocobolo set on the top model 27 in this pic. They are presently installed on my 5" barrel nickel 27-2 nowadays.
This next pic is how my 6 1/2" 27-5 (same pistol as above) sits with a pair of English Walnut Culina stocks.

What type of frame are you going to use them with? I have some N Frame conversions. A tad large for DA work. Seem to spread the recoil well for heavy loads in SA. I have long fingers but typically wear size L gloves. The Culina stocks are definitely gorgeous!

This is a matched set I purchased from John a few years ago. I've since passed the magnas on to a fellow forum member but am keeping the targets. The wood is Bastogne Walnut.

All of mine are going on square butt model 27's, of which I have 6 as of now. I mostly use those guns single action, but have been known to use them in double action mode occasionally. My 3 1/2" barrel 27-2 sits by my Laz-E-Boy in the front room in case of some of the wrong type of folks try to bust in the door and that is the one I practice double action with the most of my 27's.

I think their work and wood quality are terrific but I wish they made target stocks with the speedloader cutout so they match what is supposed to be on later square-butt guns.

Thank you, Ed. Most customers prefer the classic look of the football relief, however, you can special order with the cutout which is better for speed loader use and 7 shots. Sometimes we have extras too. This beautiful Goncalo Alves set is available! It fits an N-Round frame.
