Which grips original on a Model 36-9
I've got a 36-9, but I'm pretty sure the rubber grips on it are not original (I've not seen this style on any S&W J-frame).
Can somebody tell me which grips or stocks were original on the 36-9 in 1998?
Thanks much,
Bob

My 637 purchased in '97 came with these Uncle Mike's boot grips as OEM. I remember many snub J-frames from the 90s with these grips as factory standard.

Thanks saemetric and kaaskop49.
Some days I can't afford to pay attention. I didn't know the ones in the photo are Uncle Mike's.
saemetric: that 36-8 DAO with the combats looks much better than the UM grips.
Cheers,
Bob

Yes I agree plus more to hold on to. The originals were the UM banana style rubber grips since it is a 3"..the 2" bbls.usually had the boot style.
