My "new" 66-2
Beautiful! But please, these stainless gems are made to be shot - a lot! I bought a pristine 66 no dash recently and shoot the heck out of it. Cleans up pretty every time.

Very nice. 66-2 was my first handgun in 1985. Still have it and love it.

Oh, this will be shot. I could care less if the guy who had it before me never thought about putting a round down the pipe, I buy guns to shoot them

Just out of curiosity, to collectors, how much does the value increase when it comes with all the stuff it came with when new like pictured here? I'm past the point of ever wanting/having to sell my guns for anything, but just curious

It's a beauty
The first S&W revolver I bought is a -2. Purchased 1989. $240.
I've enjoyed it a lot but for some reason my 681 no dash is my woods carry gun these days.
The early mdl 66's are sweet.
You have a beauty.
Mine came w/ TTT's, I like that.

The K frames are great to shoot.
Enjoy that 4" 1980s beauty
I own a 3" 66-2 that sees some range time about once a month and only gets fed 158gr LSWC ammo loaded in 357 cases.
The Speer Gold Dot 357 is my personal defense/carry ammo most of the time
The linked Hogue rubber grips with S&W logo are comfortable at the range
Product: Hogue K/L Round (With Logo) Square Conversion

I'm going to try and get to the range Friday to test it out. It's only going to get 158gr loads

Not really, but if it's in the same condition as the other two that you got from this place $700 is a pretty good buy. It might be a $1300 gun if it was a model 14 in high condition.

On occasion, there are '10 best' compilations in publications, such as the "10 best looking..." If the 4" 19/66 does not belong in such a list, I don't know what would be better looking.

I love the looks of these revolvers (I have a 19-3 as well). I wanted a stainless GP100 or SP101, but after picking this up that thought has faded.....

I bought 4" GP100 several years ago simply because I could not find a 4" Mod 19 to replace the one I sold MANY years ago - then I found my M-66 - The GP went away shortly thereafter - Hey the GP is a GREAT gun but just doesn't have the feel and balance of the 4" 66.
