Never give up
Last fall I purchased a Model 65 Ladysmith. It came with the shipping box, hard case and all the paperwork in about mint condition. The only problem was the original LS red rosewood grips had been replaced with a set of rubber compact grips. With that I started my quest for an original set of grips with no luck for about eight months. Fast forward to the Memphis gun show this summer. A friend of mine bought a 629 in the box. He came over and showed it to me. In the box with the 629 was a set of 65 LS grips in new condition. He sold them to me for 20 bucks. Just goes to show all things come to he who waits. JM2CW

Good on ya! Usually I'd expect to wait all that time then have somebody say, "I know you need these grips, so you can have them for a mere $200!" It's good to have friends who watch out for you.

I had the same experience when I bought my 65 LS. However, right after I bought it, a member here sent me a link to an Ebay ad for the original factory cherry grips. They were like brand new. I think I gave $50 for them delivered. There were a few more on there at the time. None were as nice as these though The Tyler T Grip makes this gun so much more shootable. Highly recommend this addition. Plus it is totally correct for the era. In fact, this particular Tyler T was made about the same time as the gun
