586 Nickel no dash 4" joins the group
Was able to purchase this from one of our members a couple of weeks ago.
Seems to have been shot very little and in great shape.
I changed out the Targets it was wearing with a set of smooth presentation that I had laying around.

Congrats! There is a nickel plated 586 at my LGS for $1000 right now! I have my eye on it and hope it comes down a little.

Yep, I love those nickel plated Smiths myself. I wouldn't mind having a nickel L frame one day too, to go with my nickel 27's.

Gorgeous guns! I own only one L-frame, a 6" 686, no dash that I bought the first year they came out. I put a scope on it (no drilling, it is that Weaver mount that wraps around the front of the frame and has a screw that goes in the rear sight hole). This has been the most accurate revolver, no, make that handgun, that I have ever owned or fired. With the 2X Leupold on it, it is punches ragged holes at 25 yards, 1" groups at 50, and dead deer at 100 yards, all day long. It is actually the gun I use to accuracy test any of my .38 or .357 handloads. This all said, the gun is that ugly stainless steel and oh how I envy those of you who have the nickel versions!

I recently purchased a blued 4" 586 and have a nickeled Colt Border Patrol that I have had for a while already. I think, however, the nickel 586's look a lot better. Sweet looking gun. IMG_2423.jpg

Fantastic!!! They don't get any gooder than a 4" Nickel 586 IMO. Those stocks really look nice too.
Congrats!

I did, but they wouldn't haggle even though they know me. I guess they were confident for a reason. It was gone on Monday. I ask if they got the grand for it...Yep, was the answer.

Saemetric on 586 Unfired
I love to "guinch" my guns, but firing is a gift. Shoot and enjoy,
History in your hand, not coming back, just like us.
