Question CCW Holster for MODEL 19-7 2.5'"

I have just recently had a Model 19 w/2.5: barrel returned (long story)to me by my brother. I would like carry it concealed when colder weather requires heavier clothing. I have A MODEL 640-1 that I carry a lot using a clip draw device. I carry it with the .38spl +p to insure a quicker second shot. I like the bigger frame for the .357Mag. I am smaller person. and carry very little extra weight. I have a paddle holster from Galco but am not too happy with it as it keeps the holster and the gun too far out from my body. I am concerned with weapon retention and printing... does any one have suggestions as to the type holster that will deal with my concerns.

If you're comfortable carrying AIWB, then I can strongly recommend JM Custom Kydex's George holster. It's awesome: very comfortable, very concealable, and you don't notice the extra weight of that all steel frame. I've got one for my 66-8 2-3/4".

If you want a more traditional leather belt-mounted OWB holster, then the Logo Gun Leather Enhanced Pancake is also very nice. Not as concealable as the George in my opinion; but still most likely better and more comfortable than a paddle holster.

I would 2nd the Lobo Gun Leather Enhanced Pancake or you might take a look at R. Grizzle Leather. I have one of his Georgia Snaps for a Glock and it conceals very well.

Galco also makes an IWB for a 2.5" K frame. I have two of them.

I just searched on line - oopsie - looks like it is discontinued. Maybe you can find one somewhere but it will take some looking.

There are several leather makers on this Forum that can make you what you need.

If you want to carry it OWB, then you need to find a good holster that will give you a high carry and draw the gun in closer to the body when on the belt. The ones suggested above are this style.

Lobo makes some, Galco has some commercial ones, DeSantis makes one I think.

I eventually plan on getting one of the holsters from the 3 above, probably Lobo, but until that happens my Bianchi Accumold serves the purpose for concealed OWB.
