Default Picked up a 586 no dash

Picked up a nice 4" 586 no dash yesterday. I've been wanting one for a while. Maybe will add some wood in the future.

Makes me think back to 2008 when I bought one for $235. It was just laying in the case for weeks and nobody wanted it. I guess because it was blue or it was a revolver or whatever. I'd like to go back in time just a little bit and spend some serious money.

You and me both! Back in the early 80’s I picked up my first 586ND for $250

I take it the targets with the cut out would be the correct grips for the 586? I really like the pachs as they are comfy and work well, but I would like some nice wood for show and tell.

Nice looking 586, I keep hoping to stumble upon a blued 581 or 586 no dash to go with my nickel finish 586. Do yourself a favor and get rid of the rubber and go with wood or some Patrick Grashorn, elk grips they are great quality and look amazing. my factory Nickel 586 no dash with Grashorn grips and Tyler T adapter.

Those are especially nice. A frequent shooter at our range has one just like it

Everything to like in a 586...my favorites. I don't have a pic of the 4" or 6" individually but they are no dash and -4 respectively. The 3" is also a -4.

Very nice 586 you have and I'll bet not your last...

I think the early Model 586 and 686 no dash .357's are some of the best post-1982 guns S&W ever made. They were manufactured on all new tooling with the most modern manufacturing methods and other than the issue of the hammer nose & bushing that was easily corrected with the "M" modification, they were a perfect combination of size, weight and strength for a steady diet of .357 loads. Most owners also report excellent accuracy. It's too bad that they had to discontinue the P&R features, but it was understandable.

Well,I've got a few dozens of guns and I'm getting at an age when I think as much about the ones I'm gonna sell as which ones I'm gonna buy.But you can bet that my 586 no dash is way down at the bottom of my list of the ones I'm gonna sell.Made lots of mistakes selling guns but that's one I ain't gonna make!
