Nice revolver. Is that a Round Butt or Square Butt? Looks like a Round but hard to tell with those Pac Grips on.

Round butt. And the Pachmayr girps are the round butt sort.

Nice 65. One of S&W's best in my opinion.

Round butt.
Unfortunately it came with them installed.
Very clean underneath grips.

Why unfortunate? That's what I'd put on it! And you got them for free and without having to search for a set.

I was looking for a 3" 65-3 in nice shooter condition but failed to find one I liked enough to buy.
Not long ago one was offered to me by a Texas forum member not far from my location but he insisted on shipping and not a face to face.I passed on the deal.
I was able to get an excellent 3" with the PC Magnas 13-2 but prefer SS over blue these days.

I have one to also. The NYSP markings add to the cool factor.

Congrats! They are great shooters. I just picked up a 65-3 4" barrel. I am a huge fan of fixed sights. My Model 10 bull barrel and my new 65 are my favorite S&W revolvers.
