Default 629-5 PC Birdsong Question

According to the barrel its a 44 Magnum Hunter Plus. Looking in the S&W Catalog 3rd Edition they call it a Light Hunter Plus but the gun doesn't say "Light" as you can see. It also notes a product code of 170193 as having the green frame. I'm going to guess this is the gun they are talking about? Either way, anyone know how many were produced? Can't be many as I have only found a pic of one. Thanks for any info.

Default

That product code I found as a 44mag unfluted green / blk .. so I think it's the one you have.

And I've seen a few like yours talked about on other forums. Can't recall which ones at the moment.

S&W can tell you how many produced 2001

Default I know very little about these, but

I bought mine a few years ago off of GunBroker from a shop in Florida. Maybe the picture will show.

The 4th edition of the Handbook says even less than the 3rd edition.
I was looking for a stainless gun without the port, but could not find one. This one does not have the lock or the Magna Port.

Very interested to see if anyone has any more information on these.

Default Light Hunter

I've always thought that Revolver was
interesting and unique.

I like it, of course I'm sort a parcel to
Revolver.

Very, very accurate Revolver. I believe
it has something to do with the Performance
Center refined trigger pull.
