Default Cute little guns.

All.
Found in LGS.
1. S&W Model 60-4
2. S&W Model 431. This my newest pocket gun. I need to make sure it works.
I was going to shoot both of them this morning, first time for each. Took my truck in yesterday for an oil change, tire rotation and check alignment. Shop called me and said I needed rear brakes and did I want it done. "Yes", and they needed to keep it over night and do some work this morning. Went to get it when they called and wrote out a check that would have bought either of those guns. Brakes needed a little expensive work.
Buying repair work on my vehicles is not nearly as fun as buying new guns.

When you do shoot the M-60-4, I think the accuracy will astound you.

Both of mine have really liked Speer's 125 grain and 135 grain Short Barrel .38 loads. Both also shoot 158 grain lead SWC-HP ammo well.

These are business loads, not for routine range work.

If you must sell one to pay for the brake work, keep that M-60-4.
It's probably the best small field and defense .38 yet made. It's certainly one of the best for a backpacker who doesn't need greater power.

The 60-4 is one of my grail guns. I have a 36-6, which is the same gun in matte blue/black. I'm still looking for the 60-4. The 431 is a great little gun, I found both a 431 and 432PD's last year, and have developed some good loads for them.

The 60-4 is one of the best guns S&W ever made. Really does everything well.

I too would like to own a 60-4. I've never actually seen one, much less one for sale.

One of the great gun acquisitions I've made in recent years was the NIB Model 60-4 that my friend Dale53 located for me. Needless to say it is no longer NIB, rather could be best described as "well loved." Of my many handguns, it would definitely be one of the very last to go away.

I'd love to find both an early Model 63 and a Model 631 with 4" bbl and adj sights to go with it, but it is already a stand-alone champ!

Congrats on the new wheel guns. Of the two, I favor the 60. I have a 60-10 and it is an outstanding gun. Chambered for 357,and I have fired a few through it. Mostly it eats 38's and as other posters have noted, it packs very well.

Like H Richard I also have a 60-4 and it's predecessor the 36-6. Both great little guns.
