I picked up a 460 XVR last month and recently started shooting it. It has the spring loaded interchangeable front sights.
Well in 40 rounds of shooting it has launched the two front sights that came with it, into the air. I lost them when they came off of the gun. I contacted S&W and they are sending me replacements.

I was wondering if anyone had experienced this and had a solution.

I'd install a stronger spring, or shoot less powerful loads.

I'll do both, but right now I don't have a reloading set up for it.

I would see if they will send you a new spring for behind the plunger that holds the sight, heck maybe a new plunger too in case somehow it's shorter than ideal

I've got the 3-1/2" Carry model & my gold bead sight flew off too after a hot load. At $60 to replace it I decided it didn't need to be a quick change sight anymore. I removed the spring & used the factory allen screw as a set screw & now it's secure.
