jmr986,
Congratulations on the new addition
I have been shooting 357 Magnum moon clip revolvers for more than 20 years now.
I have never experienced a visible difference in accuracy with or without moon clips. It is true, I did not shoot groups from a sand bag and bring out the calipers, I just used my naked eye
The moon clipped, 357 Magnum revolvers that showed visibly significant accuracy improvements over other models of Smith and Wesson were the 327s. This is attributed to their multi-piece tensioned barrels which are very similar to the Dan Wesson tensioned barreled revolvers of years gone by.
It makes no difference if these are fired with or without moon clips, the smaller groups are clearly visible to the naked eye and are the result of the barrel system and not the moon clips
I guess if the head-space were far enough out of spec on the L-comp, the moon clips could bring it back where it should be. That might create an accuracy difference.
The L-Comp is now 17 years old.
