Model 625 45 Colt, Mountain Gun Stainless Steel Revolver.
4" tapered barrel, "No Lock" or "Lock".
2. or any Brand new in the box, only factory fired
S&W 625 45 Colt.
3. The Henry Rifle Company 410 gauge Lever Action Shot Gun.
410's are very handy around the Farm.

I'll second this one,, I just traded a beautiful nickel 27-2, with gorgeous football targets, for Tyler T's pre 23 Outdoorsman, I hope he's looking forward to seeing his new gun? as much as I am to seeing mine!

Something like this. It arrived last week, wearing Pachs. Found some Magnas and a Tyler, on-line. Gun shoots great, and looks pretty good.

I'm still looking to try a Security 9, I own the Walther Creed which has a great trigger and the S&W SD9 VE is a very nice pistol. It all comes down to which feels best to the individual.

A 9mm Shield 2.0. I'd rather have one with a laser that's grip-activated over the current setup.

Only Smith I've bought this year is a 642-1.
Only 2 that I need that comes to mind. A pre lock 63, and a pre lock 4" 66 to complement my 2.5" and 3".
Wouldn't mind a model 68 if I score a 63. Then I'd have a 63, 64, 65, 66, 67, and 68.

What is a "standard-pencil" barrel?
Yesterday, I just bought a Model 10 with a 3" barrel,s/n D743xx, square butt, excellent shape. It's for sale if the price is right.

Still waiting on shipment word for the elk grips for my 1911 from New Year’s, however, I did get a start with elk grips from Big Mountain Man for my EDC 686+, my sometimes carry Airweight. My wife and I will be headed to KY Gun Co at thernd of the month to get her Model 69. Lobo has sent her holster, and I’ll mail off the order to Herrett’s for some Jordan Trooper’s with Exhibition wood upgrade after our move to Montana in March. Looks like my New Year’s choices will be wrapped up once I find a set of elk grips for my 15-1.

Marlin is listing their 1894 lever guns in 357/38 again!
I'm leaning towards one of the 16 & 1/2" 'Trapper' models, but I like the 'classic' straight grip stock 20" barrel version as well.
I've read that they will start shipping these in the next few months, so I have a little time to $ave up some cash!

Either a 2.75” Model 66, or a 3” 686+. Or, if a lot of good luck happens, both.

Right now I'm intrigued by the new Sig P365.
Would want to wait until late 2018 though - need to see if any bugs need to be worked out after the intro period; and would also want to physically handle/shoot one first.

Still putting the list together.
Would like to get a birth year (1945) .38 and possibly a pre Model 12 2".

Well, I've knocked one of the two off my "Get in 2018" list. I just bought an ATI military style 1911 and it is waiting for me at my FFL for when I get back from the rig next week. I also ordered a 45 ACP die kit and 1k of 230 grain FMJ bullets from Roze Distribution to make up some ammo for it, so I should be busy when I get home.
I still have the model 29 list to get this year left, but I have most of the year left to find one too.
And another I might get if it came up and bit me on the butt would be a nickle model 27 with a 6 1/2" barrel. I think that would make it a Pre 27 since I think they started making them in 6" barrel around the time they started numbering them. Or was it when they transitioned to the -2 engineering change? I don't remember. I have a 6 1/2" blue 27-5, but I would rather have an earlier model in nickel as all my other model 27's are nickel.

2018 has been a lucky year already... so I don’t know that I should ask or look for too many more. Unless another .45 were to appear at the right price.
An early commercial Colt 1911 say 1925-1932 would be nice.
Recent acquisitions include a 625-7 Performance Center .45 5.25” Barrel pre-lock...
And a 3-screw, bright blue, Mod-22 .45 acp

What guns do you want to get in 2018?
I managed to find a Marlin Golden-39A, new, un-fired, back on the 13th of January. This one was made before they started installing that ugly cross-bolt safety. This is actually my fourth 39A, but I foolishly let the first three get away through the years. This one will stick.

I am trying to save up for a Springfield 1903. Every time I get close something nice appears and I buy it. Things like an Arisaka, P38, Dreyse needle rife, etc.

22LR Registered Magnum .....
Don't figure it's gonna happen, but, I keep holdin' on to a glimmer of hope.
Like the 3 inch, fixed sight, round butt 29 (Qty of 3 made) I may just make my own.

Had a Charles Lancaster .375 H&H double with oval bore rifling years ago. The day I received it my daughter was born. Went over the three day inspection period when I finally got to try it out a week later.
Right hand bore keyholed with anything I fed it. Dealer wouldn’t take it back.
Wrote Westley Richards about rebarreling. Price was $2800 and a four year wait and price could be double when the work was completed.
Sold the gun to an Alaskan Bear guide for following up wounded bears. Said it was probably a plus that it key holed in light of its intended use. Only took a $500 loss.
Moral? Don’t buy guns when you wife is overdue.

Just picked this up, nostalgia for me as it was one that was issued to me way back in the day. Had to turn it in but now I've got it back. The fit and finish were great, solid walnut grips, everything you expect from S&W. Great little gun and the trigger is the same as it was in the 80s.

Since my quest will be over when I order some grips from Grasshorn next month, I’m going to be on the look out for M48 and a K22/M17 toroundout the rimfires for my family to shoot at the range with me. The 625 or 25 in 45 Colt will be first though

For the last few years, I've been scraping pennies together trying to gather enough to get me my first plastic framed wonder 9.
Always seemed that when I had almost enough, something would happen. Sometimes something to do with the house, sometimes something medical and I'd have to dig into my gun fund.
Last year I got to handle a Ruger LC9s and I liked the trigger.
At around $300 I thought I may be able to swing it this year.
So what happens. My wife's a home health care aid and her client was recently rushed to the hospital. I do hope she's okay and, as my wife thinks, it was just dehydration.
We're not sure if my wife'll have work or not. If her client's not coming back they'll havta to place her elsewhere. Don't know how long that'll take.
So my gun buying's gonna be put on hold 'til we find out.

I hadn't planned on getting any guns this year...until I saw this: Cimarron Firearms revives 1847 Texas Ranger Walker .44 pistol
I sold off all of my Black Powder stuff years ago, but I still find it tempting. I also learned something new...that there is a cartridge called a .45 BPM which is used in a converted Walker. This is very interesting to me too: .45 Black Powder Magnum - Wikipedia

I crossed mine off too but did better than I'd hoped. I was looking for a 29-4 Silhouette and found a dash 5! I'll post a few good pics when I get some good shots. Here's one.

Was looking for a 3913 LS.
Got one today on Gun Broker.
Not bargain priced, but way better than I've seen at gun shows with import markings on slides and frames for the same price.

Just picked up something that I couldn't pass up, a real nice 25-5 Nickel 6in 45 Colt. Wasn't looking for one but I thought you people would understand.

I think I'm done acquiring this year since I just added my third Browning Hi Power. Been a pretty good year though.

Hello all been awhile since I posted. But after seeing this post I ad to add my 2 cents....
Since I last posted I have moved quite a few guns in and out FNS9, XDS, SP2022, FNS40 etc. I recently swapped a SP2022 for a PPQ M1. Still have the M&P9 and P220 and P226.
Looking this year to add a PPS or Shield haven't decided yet, the M&P 2.0 intrigues me but need to find one to shoot to see if its enough of a upgrade over my current M&P to warrant a addition.
So long Story short
1) PPS or Shield
2) M&P2.0
3) PPQ22 oe M&P22
Cheers

I have several in mind.
I can't tell you what they are because I don't know technically what they are. But I have seen them and held them and I like them.
One is a 125th Anniversary Commemorative Revolver.
Another one is a S&W that has two manufactures names stamped on it. I believe its a .45 colt and was special made for competition shooting.
Another S&W Highway Patrol that has Utah Highway Patrol #8 on the back side between the two stocks.
A 1911 Colt Commander.
An FN FAL manufactured by Fabrique Nationale d'Herstal.
And two S&W .44 mags. One is stainless with a 8 3/8 barrel and hopefully one with a 4" barrel.
And possibly a S&W 500 magnum with a 4" barrel.
And possibly something else but not sure what at this time.
This is a new disease that I was not prepared for.
