What guns do you want to get in 2018?
I'd like to find a 2" kit gun in 22lr.
Nickel would be best, but I'd go for blue or stainless.
Another would be a Model 30-1 in Nickel.

An interesting N frame, maybe a .41 this time.
Long tube 14 or 17.

A nice 586, 6" for me. I have a few nice 44's. I think 2018 will be a good year for 38/357 caliber.

Either a 629 or a 28 with a 6" barrel. Also a distant 3rd would be a 25 with the cylinder cut for moon clips so I can load 45colt and 45acp

New production .45 Luger. Trouble is I also need the $5,800 to pay for it. And to live in another state so I could legally buy it.

I like to shoot revolvers and own or have owned more "J", "K", and "L" frames than I can mention...but never owned or shot an "N"frame of any caliber. I would like a model 28 or 628 to shoot and simply experiment

I want to pick up a good condition Model 042.
Also, wouldn't mind a 3" Detective Special with a shrouded ejector rod or Colt Viper.

A pinto Model 50 (or 36 Target).
A first-year Model 58.
A first-year Model 13-1.
I'll likely end up with a few others and none of these before this day next year! It's nice to have a dream.

I've got to slow down a bit this year due to some increased life expenses. That said, It's a safe bet I'll end up getting:
S&W 625 JM (PC? Not sure)
S&W 627 PC
S&W M14
S&W M21
Stuff I always keep an eye out for a good price on:
M10/M13/M15/M19 Snubbies
I frames
cheap used Keltec P11 (what can I say...)
shooter grade M27/M28

My obsession at the moment is finding a model 19-2 -3 or -4 with 3Ts in 99% to NIB condition. They're out there but I'm chasing my tail trying to find one for a reasonable $. The thrill is in the hunt, right? lol

In the summer, I might try and nail down a 625 (45 ACP) pre-lock with a 5" barrel.

S&W 625 PC... Had a pre lock 625 5" Barrel years ago and sold it.
Would have kept it if these new de-mooners were available..

Mine's easy. Couple more 442's for the family and an M&P15 Sport or Sport II for me, plus anything that catches my eye with cash in my pocket . . .

Nothing that comes to mind instantly. I'm very conservative when it comes to buying guns. The "why" always comes to mind so I'm not sure exactly what I'd want. The new
-Hudson H9 comes to mind. Very innovative, slightly different pistol. Unfortunately it's pricey at $1200 so I don't think that's going to happen in 2018 unless I find one at 1/2 price.
- A few collection pieces I wouldn't mind picking up. Nothing awe inspiring but still. Wouldn't mind having my Polish P64 back along with a P83, maybe a nice Makarov.
- some surplus rifles like a Mauser 8mm since I already have a Enfield and Mosin this would round of the big 3 bolt action guns of WW2. Maybe a Swiss Mauser.
- in the highly unlikely category.... along with the Hudson H9....the US M1903 and M1917, M1 Carbine. SW M27.
Probably things I haven't thought of.
Just throwing stuff out there. There isn't any one specific thing that I have my heart set on

I looked this up. Interesting concept. I'd like to pull the trigger a couple times on one to see if they got it done . . .

Over the last few years I’ve been blessed with the acquisition of several of my dream guns and in 2017 was able to find the barrel, donor gun and other parts to have a gunsmith duplicate the factory Model 14-3 to 16-3 conversion. That should likely be the high point of 2018 when completed. The only other daydreams I have right now would be Model 631 in 32 H&R and a pre-Model 24. Those would make my S&W herd complete!
Happy New Year to all!

I've seen a few video interviews with the inventor on Forgotten weapons. One was from last year shot show where they talked about how the idea came about and the other was a look at the gun and the different proof of concept guns they made and what was changed before they got it right. I thought it would be dry and boring but it was very interesting

625-5 5" Classic in .45LC.
Also have my eye on a 38/44 Outdoorsman, c. 1955 in 95%+ with unrelieved diamond targets. Waiting for owner to agree with my offer of $850.

American made 22 lr revolver. Kinda limits my choices but! Leanin towards something < 5" barrel but will not discount any length @ this time. SA or DA doesn't really matter. Just something to shoot rats with (already have a Mark II target for a squirrel pistola ).

The model 18 is a great 22 revolver.
It would be on my list, except I already have one.
One other gun I'd like to find is a M38 bodyguard to keep my M49 company.
The week after I bought my M49, a local California classified ad site had a ANIB M38 for sale.
I didn't buy it because I just bought the 49 and my bank account was empty.
That was two years ago. Little did I know I'd never see another M38 for sale.

just a couple
I'll be on the lookout for a couple
1) 29-4 3" unfluted cylinder to complete my 3 gun set mfg in 1989.
2) A nice model 58.
Of course there are always ones that pop up unexpectedly at a good price that you really don't need but talk yourself into buying.
The hunt continues.

Ahh, fine choices.
I'm looking for that K frame, 3", with standard-pencil barrel.
