Default Speedloader for model 547 (32S&W long?)

I just found a new (to me) speedloader company; 5 Star. They make billet aluminum speedloaders...nice quality, decent prices. For those familiar with the 9mm K frame model 547 you may also know that the old production HKS model 547 speedloaders have become very pricey (avg $60-70 on the auction sites). I have asked 5 Star if they will make some up for the 547. In the meantime, I'm wondering if one for a 32S&W long (HKS 32K) will retain the 9mm cartridge. Anyone out there with a 32 S&W k frame speedloader that will test this hypothesis?

Thanks, XSEXCESS

BTW, found a nice model 650 at the LPS yesterday (3" RB 22mag). Paid a little under GB prices (for a not in the box pistol). Felt lucky to come across one without having to chase the auctions.

I have found that I prefer speed strips to speed loaders. I have both, I just carry speed strips more often. It easy for me to drop in two at a time off a speed strip.

I suspect the case diameter and spacing between a .32 Long and 9 mm is not compatible with a speedloader of the same size. A .38/.357 would be closer but since there were two different models produced I would bet these are not interchangeable either.

I tried 9mm w/my HKS 32K speed loader. 9mm has excessive diameter, won't insert.

Just bought 2 of the HKS 32K Speed loaders to TRY in my S&W 547. The 32 cal. holes are TOO SMALL for the 9mm Case.
There were inexpensive so I'm having the local gunsmith take them apart and SLIGHTLY open up the holes to accept the 9mm case.
Will let you know how it turns out.

Kudos to those of you who would carry their 547. I'm thinking that one=at-a-time thumbed off the lips of say.....a G43 mag, would be the way to go.
