Default S&W Model 42-2 Classic Value?

Located one of the Model 42-2 Classic Airweight snubs that would set me back about $500.00 when all said and done.

It has the docs/box/etc.... that came with it back when they were made, appears to be in pretty good shape and does not have the internal lock.

I have amassed a pretty good gathering of J Frames but no "lemon squeezers" yet.

Was curious if this seems like an okay deal. Not sure how much they were when new.

In the condition you describe; yes, I would be a buyer in the $500 range.

By the way, the "Standard Catalog of Smith & Wesson, 4th Edition" doesn't list a Model 42-2, descriptions stop at the Model 42-1. That, of course, doesn't necessarily mean amything, just thought I'd throw it out there.
