Default S&W 442-1

I’ve been carrying a Model 36 no-dash that I bought in pristine and likely unfired condition as an EDC. With warmer weather coming, I decided to pick up a new 442 for EDC and pocket carry. I bought the Pro Series as I really like the trigger as it is similar to my Model 36.

The 442 has been my favorite pocket gun for years. These are my carry guns. The 442 with Uncle Mikes Boot Grip is the pocket gun. I pick one of the others for the waistband.

My 442 no dash was the first airweight J Frame I ever bought. Still have it! Pretty quickly after I brought it home, and after a range session at which my wife was present and fired it, she claimed it as hers. So I couldn't have gotten rid of it if I wanted to! But I've never wanted to get rid of it. I love the Centennial style revolvers, and this one has been a dandy. It shoots easy and well. My wife loves it. I also have a steel framed 640-1which I belt carry a lot and an abused 642 that I bought because I got it for cheap from an LGS display where it stuck out like a sore thumb. It was good mechanically, and I sure don't have to worry much about messing it up finish wise. With it, I have another lightweight for the times when I might elect to carry one. I'd say you did good, Sir!
