Default Found a nickle

...finished 19-4 in my local gun shop yesterday just as it was about to go out into the case. Pinned, recessed, RR&WO sights, excellent mechanical and cosmetic condition... I went into instant lust mode despite it lacking the original grips and box. Didn't have anything else nickle in "the collection" these days so the $390 price tag made it a easy decision. Besides, already had the Lobo holster waiting to fit it:-)

$390 for a nickel 2.5 inch M19? Yes, bet you didn't think about that too long. Asking price for those is around $700-$800 these days where I shop. Nice!

That's a gift for $390! Plus P&R. Plus a snub. Plus nickel is so rare compared to blue.

Wow what a revolver, wow what a price. That would go for almost twice that around here in Arizona.

If I had bought that gun at that price I would not sleep
well. I would be afraid that I would hear a knock on the
door with a cop holding an arrest warrant for theft!

Very nice

You might check for your name on the warrant list at your local Sheriff's Dept.

Thanks to all for the kind words. I was just excited to find something "Old school" and clean in the usual sea of plastic pistols. Given my relationship with the owner of the GS, I likely could have gotten some $ off that price but I figured why be greedy

p.s. Funny thing is that for 25 or so years, I've had a beautiful (but refinished) 2.5" Mod 19-4 in blue. It mostly sits in the safe as I don't want to ding it up. This one will make a nice working partner to that blued one. These snubby K frames just have a great feel to them, don't they? Anyway, I'll need to snap a shot of the two together now.

This proves with plastic guns taking over the market there are some awesome revolver buys out there but you need to browse often. I’m not crazy about the m19 in 357 snubbies but in nickel for $390 even I couldn’t pass that up.

Blue is cool, stainless is better but that world famous s&w nickel finish is freaking awesome. When you find yourself in a pickle and don’t know what to buy grab that discontinued nickel.

There's a nickel 2-1/2 inch 19-5 with an asking price of $1199 on a popular gun auction site right now.

I'd say you did pretty fair. . .

Congratulations go out to you!!! Very nice 1! The only nickle I found was a scuffed one on the sidewalk. (wrong kind) I am 65, and never owned one. Still trying! Enjoy it. Bob
