Default Assistance with value range.

Hello,

I have recently aqcuired a 629-3 Classic with a 8-3/8” barrel and a non-fluted and recessed cylinder. I have also received my letter from SWHC stating it was one of 180 made. Any help with value would be apprectiated. Thanks!

In my area $1,000.00 would likely be the asking price.

Nice gun. Enjoy in good health.

If you paid $1000+/- $50 in my area you did okay.

If you were selling sometime in the future I would hope to find a buyer online would pay a premium for: 1 limited run, 2 full package, 3 Roy Jenks letter. They might pay a 10% - 20% premium. Best case would be two bidders wanting you 629 and willing to duke it out.

I have no idea of general collect ability of revolvers with the internal locks.

I don’t believe this one has a lock. It’s too early.

That is correct. There is no lock.

Can you say what the date was on that letter? I can't recall Roy using that specific narrative before.

It seems lately that the $1k price range goes for any 629-3 Classic. I would say that because of its rarity, having the original box, and the letter, i would value it more. If i were to sell the same package i would price it $1200.

edit: oops... it looks as though gr8 has already given pretty much the same opinion.
