Default Just ordered a model 60 Pro

Seems like every time I get a new shooter I say it is my last but time passes and I relent.

Our club has weekly pistol matches. My wife and I campaign a 617 and a 686 for 50' slow fire. We switch off who shoots what. She does better with the 686 taking 1st at least 50% of the time.

We recently added a new match -- 25' sustained fire with a hide-out handgun. Not having such a tool that is my excuse for snagging the Model 60 Pro. Found one at grabAgun for $616.99 delivered. We will fondle it next week when it gets to the jail.

My EDC, you’ll like it especially the SA trigger.

I've got a Pro Series Model 60. They are great j frames. Make sure when you get it home to check all the screws for tightness. Good idea to recheck after each range session, especially if you shoot.357's through it.

The little screw that holds the sight assembly and the cylinder release are particularly prone to working loose. Congratulations on the new gun!

Thanks for the tips. I will be shooting real light handloads so maybe screws working loose will not be too frequent. I'll keep them snug.

Try a Pachmayr Diamond Pro grip. I couldn’t believe what a difference it made in how well my 60 Pro shot.

I like the look of the wood but have been thinking of a rubber grip. I have looked at Pachmayr and Hogue. I'll put some ammo through it with the wood and then maybe go for the Pachmayr.

Thanks for the tip.

I enjoy the wooden grips on the 60 Pro. It’s accurate and more fun to shoot than many J-Frames. Just the right weight. I lost the little night sight nodule in the front sight. Working on replacing that now. S&W said I could send the whole gun in for a replacement sight. Have fun!
