Long Island Gun Show Find
FYI:
I went to my first Long Island gun show in quite a while today... Lots of rifles, not lots of handguns. But I did see a very unique Smith- it was a 16-4 8 3/8" priced out at $950.00. (Sorry for the iPhone pics, I did not handle the gun.)
Other than a couple of other highly overpriced Mod 36s, that was pretty much it for Smith revolvers.
If anyone is interested in the 16-4, send me a PM and I'll give you the details on the dealer.

I am surprised they even allow gun shows on Long Island.

We have lots of gun shops on Long Island. It is not as bad as many make it out to be.
Nice find.

The rest of New York state is totally different from the five boroughs.

I always wanted to get a model 16 and make a 327 Magnum out of it.

Between the grips and the rare model and barrel length, I suspect that was probly a very good price.
Although I'm no expert and maybe there's a diminishing return with those 8" barrels. They aren't for everyone.
