Default 686-4 TARGET COMPETITION

Hello friends from the Far West.
I have just purchased a 686 target champion. A true Blitz, last Saturday, I went to the shop to buy amos and see this handgun with a special mecanism, trigger, barrel, and Nill grip.
Consequence I must sale my 586 because I can have two guns already at home.
What do you think about this handgun ? you the experts of SW.
I love this gun, really nice stuff.
Who WC or 38sp with his 586 or 686 ? an French expert told me that it's not a really good thing for the barrel because the warhead floating during the first mm inside.
Now pics my last purchase.

That is a very nice target gun. The length of the brass in the chamber does not matter. The throat at the front of the cylinder will line up the warhead before it comes to the barrel. That is why even Short Colt loads can be accurate in a .357 chamber. I have shot wadcutters in a 686 for many years with great accuracy and tight groups.

I have fired many .38 wad cutters in .357 mag revolvers with no ill effects. The only thing that you will need to be aware of is that you may need to clean carbon out of the chambers in order to use .357 mags after you shoot a number of .38's in the gun.
