Pics of Talo Grips on 625JM
Here are my new Talo grips on my JM 625. The only issue I have is that the grips seems to wiggle forward/backwards if I apply enough force. Am I missing some type of mounting hardware? I scared to tighten the screw anymore, I don't want to strip it. Please does anyone know what's up? Is there some piece that is supposed to go inside the frame like the Ruger Redhawk? This is my first grip I even had on a Smith that doesn't use that screw on the bottom.

Sometimes the fit isn't perfect. You may want to return them if you can. The alternative is some creative "bodywork" of the type you'd do if you were glass-bedding a rifle barrel or similar, except on a tiny scale. Personally, I'd try the latter - always fun to try something different.
BTW, those grips really change the look of that 625! Love it!

Does it have the stock pin that runs through the base of the grip frame? I don't know if it is removed for the JM grips or if it is left in place. It should line up with holes inset toward the bottom of the stocks.
It's a roll pin - here's a link.
Edit to add: That may be the pin with the mounting hardware in your photo. It should be mounted in the frame.

You need the grip pin Dr. Mordo mentioned and the grips are Altamonts. See if there are some round holes on the upper forward portion of the grip and on the rear bottom. There are locating pins that mesh in each half of the grip to form a tight fit.

I agree w/ zipty6 it appears the pin is out & if so, that could contribute to the movement you describe.
The grips do look good. What about other fit issues, front & back joints look good?

Thanks, you are 100percent correct. It was missing that roll pin. Since I am unfamiliar with grips that didn't use the bottom swivel latch and screw, I removed the entire assembly with the roll pin like an idiot. I put it back in with the new grips and it no longer rocks back and forth. Awesome, thanks again!!!
