Long overdue post!
Back in late January I sent my new 66-8 2.75" back to the mothership for some warranty work and a Perf Center Master Revolver Action Package.
Got it back in late May and it is AWESOME!
Warranty work included:
Bolt not flush with face.
Spitting lead.
Extractor rod slightly bent (came that way).
Hammer rubbing along side of frame.
MRAP and Install White rear outline sight - personal preference.
What they did:
Replaced the extractor rod.
Replaced the hammer.
Replaced Bolt.
Fixed Frame (?)
Cut forcing cone.
THEeeeeen they sent it to the PC for the Action job and new rear sight.
Oh, and, it may be "repair frame" above, but they also refinished all the irritating marks I'd put (certainly all mine) in the bead blast finish.
So basically it's everything I could possibly want in a K frame revolver. All for around $180.
After spending tons of cash with every gunsmith in town for trigger jobs, for Alllll theeeeesseeee yeeeeersssss, I FINALLY did it RIGHT.
Each to their own. But from here on out, I'm going with the Performance Center!
The pics show the list of what they did, the extra parts, and a shot of how far a projectile now goes into the forcing cone. Sorry I didn't get a 'before' shot on that.
Edit: I didn't list all the stuff they did for the Master Revolver Action Package, but it was quite substantial. Not just the smoothness of the action, lightened trigger pull, but the trigger stop, beveled chambers, etc. too much to list really. If you're not familiar with all they do, you can look at their website.
