smith and wesson 629-1 ported barrel
can anyone tell me if this was factory or added afterwards. 629-1 with ported barrel , non fluted cylinder , target hammer and flat trigger.

That's a PowerPort barrel but S&W didn't start producing them until 1996 and had a fluted cylinder. Are you sure it's a 629-1 & not a dash 4?
