625-8 Performance Center Grips
Why S&W ever went with the Houge type grips on the 625-8 PC I'll never know. Hate them on the N-Frame.
Enter the Round butt to Square butt Conversion Stocks.
BOOM...Night and Day difference with how it handles and points.

For you. Grip appearance and feel are very subjective. Grips are usually the first thing I change on any handgun I purchase. I prefer Hogue monogrips with finger grooves on most of my revolvers, but for the ones I shoot in competition, I prefer the rubber Hogues from the X-frame guns that cover the back strap and cushion the web of my hand. Different strokes.

I've considered these conversion stocks for my new 627 Pro Series but I read a criticism by one shooter who found these stocks to be thinner crosswise than earlier such target stocks. They did not offer the recoil lessening he was looking for. I realize online shopping is the thing-to-do today, yet I would prefer to be able to actually touch a product, rather than ordering blindly and winding up unsatisfied, as often seems to be the case.

They are thinner that SW Target stocks but that does not bother me in the least. I wanted a flatter profile grip that would resist twisting in my hand. The original grip felt like a oversized broom handle and I had issues with horizontal stringing because of the grip profile. The flatter conversion grip solved that as the wider profile resisted twisting in my hand and gave me far better control with it.

I discarded the thin lamented red grips on my 625-8 PC after the first range season. Not only did they hurt my hand but the fit was terrible. They were very loose..
Put on a set of Hogue rubber X Grips and am very happy with them..

I only have 1 N round butt. 625JM. These work well for me. I keep experimenting though. Tried Altamont conversions, and was not too thrilled. Bob

Grips
I bought grips like the OP and they were thinner than the old style target grips, but thicker than the clown grips that came with the 625-8. When I
sold the 625 ( I regret that already) I kept the aftermarket grips just in case I buy another RB S&W N frame. I did send the online seller a note saying the grips were not “oversized” as advertised, but other than that they were nice
