Default Model 649

Got a question, a short while back I purchased a Model 649 S&W. It came with the original box and accessories. The gun looked mint. Very pristine gun in every aspect.

Just noticed the number on the yoke does not match the serial number on the frame. Below the numbers 19149 are a sideways S and the number C10.

The serial number on the gun butt is AHL14XX.

Is this original or has the crane been replaced at some point?

I'm happy with the gun, but puzzled about the numbers.

AHL14XX is the serial number...the others are assembly and reference numbers/symbols.....
