Default Is this normal (no-dash 686 recoil shield)

Hi, I just noticed that my no-dash non-"M" 686 has these wear patterns on the recoil shield, if that's the right term. The gun didn't appear to have been shot much when I acquired it recently, and I've put 200 rounds through it, all brass-cased standard pressure new .357 and .38 from reputable manufacturers. I'm reasonably experienced at what sort of wear patterns to expect in autoloaders but I'm still pretty new to revolvers, so if this is normal I won't worry about it, but if it isn't what can be done? Thanks!

Your gun doesn't appear to have much wear, and what I see is normal. Enjoy!
