Default Smith 29-3 value

I got a 6" 29-3. I won't call it mint, but 99%. Faint turn line, no other blemishes. Correct box, tools and paperwork. Also date of birth, if you
will. Serial #ADP74xx.
Thanks

May 1983 -January 1984. That three letter prefix had a relatively long life. It was like that in the early years of the triple-alpha serial numbers. Today it's not uncommon to see a three letter prefix used for only a couple of weeks.

I bought my 29-3 last November on G.B. VERY clean, no box or papers. (no big deal to me) Was glad to pick it up for $700. It is from 1988. It had wrong, but nice target stocks on it. Had the right ones for it. I am no value expert, but would guess around $800 on yours. Bob
