Default Any idea why no 6 inch 329PD?

I LOVE my 329PDs and 329NG, but boy did I want a 6 inch 329PD that was shown for a short time, years ago. Any ideas why S&W did not make them? Seems like they would have been an excellent handgun hunting pistol and I REALLY love 6 inch barrels on Magnum Revolvers.

Think there is any possibility of getting S&W to make any 6 inch 329PDs?

Thanks

My guess here is S & W went through the design and engineering process to make the alloy guns as light as possible, so adding 2" or more of barrel length ran counter to this.

I can think of only one aluminum/scandium/Ti alloy gun ever made with a 4" or longer barrel, one of the 386Ti .357s with a 6" barrel, which I suspect did not sell well.
