Happy Birthday to Me
So next month I will turn 72 and the Wife told my to pick out my own Present. I have always wanted one of these. It will Probably be used more for .45 Colt, or 454 Casull than 460s. Does anyone know why they give you a second rear sight?

They probably include 2 rear sights with them for when 1 gets lost/mangled from the recoil!

Happy Birthday and enjoy your new toy! I thought they came with 2 front sights, not sure why it has 2 rear sights.

Nice Birthday gift! Congratulations! If one of those rear sights is taller than the other one, I would guess that it was meant to be used with .45 Colts.

Congrats on the BD and the new gun. Being as how we are the same vintage, I'm looking forward to your impressions.
Check to see if the blade heighth's are different -- with the wide varity of ammo that gun will handle, POIs will be dramatically different -- different sights for different ammo?

Good on ya!
As a stocking stuffer get yourself some better ear protection to go with that (plugs and muffs).

Nice present!
The second rear sight is for when the first one gets stuck in your forehead.
Enjoy!

Gun Buy Back
Years ago I had some really nice Pre Lock S&W Revolvers.
Sadly most were sold off to buy other Guns.
So I started to Replace my S&W Revolvers with the Modern Guns. A few Friends told me that the New Guns are not the same as the Originals. My opinion is that you can't go into a GM Dealership and Buy a Brand New 57 Chevy either. My Guns are Shooters so the Modern Day design does not matter to me.
Anyway, with the purchase of the X Frame the other day I now have one of the entire Modern S&W Frame Sizes
Top Down
S&W 460V X Frame
S&W 629Talo N Frame
S&W 69 L Frame
S&W 617 K Frame
S&W 63 J Frame

It's almost comical how the cylinder on the 460 dwarfs the rest of the group. Nice collection.
