Default Update on my 617-6 at Service

Called S&W on my M617 to see what the status is. Tech said it was in shipping. That means I should see her next week. The Tech said they recut cut the forcing cone angle and put a lower rear sight on it (the sights were bottomed out at 25 yards). He also said they did something I did not hear real good so I will find out when I get her and see the paper work for my self. Total time they had her will be about three weeks. Hope all is good when I get to shoot her. I would image it will be great. Good for service if it is. S&W service so far is a Class act.

Guys here is some pictures of her with the smaller grips that fit my small hands really well. I use to have these on a 686 when I had one. She is an excellent shooter now. S&W fixed her right. Love the revolver now.

It's hard not to love a 617. They are just a joy to own and shoot.

p.s. Always like the look of ivory and/or bone on stainless. Very classy.
Enjoy!
