Welcome to the Forum. To each his own, I suppose. I don't know anything about the Tiffany Custom Model 638-3 you posted, but I do know that Clorox does not make eye bleach. My goodness, the (original) Bodyguards are my favorite J-frames, and I EDC two of them (Model 38-0 and 638-1). But the Tiffany...uh, no thanks.
Regards,
Dave

Mr. McNulty, it sounds like you already have all the information available. What specific information are you looking for? Usually these are "what's it worth" questions, and I can't help with that as I have no financial sense with guns, and don't plan to acquire any. But there are lots of people here who do (or believe they do ) if that is your question.
Unlike Double-O_Dave, I like all guns, cheap, expensive, plain or wild.

It seems that most firearm companies brought out a Tiffany and or Bel Air edition handgun. They were popular editions at first but now the fad has faded. I honestly didn't know Smith & Wesson got caught up in the Robin egg blue thing; never seen one until now. It's different. Anyway good luck in finding out more information.

I think these, like the aforementioned Bel Air Kimbers, were marketed for female buyers. Basically pretty purse guns.

I love my my humpback revolver and have a quite a few. I'd have to pass on that one. The grips aren't bad bu the rest is... well...
As my mother used to say "somethings are best left unsaid".

WOW....just Wow!!!!!
and not in a good way.
Never seen anything like that in my life.......unless you would find just the right buyer...... my guess on value would be around 50% of a standard 638

Actually, I don't find that to be as hideous as some other guns I've seen, although I don't know anything about it's value. It's 10 times nicer looking than any of the pink guns I've seen and I've seen some really bad cerakote jobs, like this Hi-Point Zombie Slayer. Maybe "bad" is not the word I'm looking for, but next to it, the "Tiffany" is delightful.
It's actually a bit classy, I think. I am a fan of the humpies too. Like my 38 No Dash nickel.

It's probably a special gun for a special person named Tiffany.
Now if I could only talk my daughter-in law, Tiffany, into carrying.....

I won’t hunt with a gun that embarrasses the dogs.

Do a Google search for the SKU Number.
Something should pop up for you.
I was with a woman shopping several years ago and one of these "Tiffany" S&W's caught her eye. We were at a dealer. it was new, and I recall a price tag at around $600.00+- She wanted it and knew only one thing about it..... she liked the color. She didn't care who made it, what caliber it was, etc., but wanted to know if it came in a matching blue box. I do not recall if it did or not.

Mr. McNulty,
I did some searching on the web and found this dealer listing them:
Smith & Wesson 638 Tiffany Special Edition
You could try contacting them and see if they can answer your question as to whether it was a distributor exclusive or not.
You can always contact S&W directly as well. I recently did so regarding a model 40-1 that I recently purchased, and their reply was very timely.
If you use this form on their website, they should be able to answer your question.

Hopefully you can find the answers you're seeking about your bride's gift you have given her.
