k-22 masterpiece small gold piece
I inherited a K-22 masterpiece and was cleaning it and a small gold piece fell out of the trigger assembly and don't have a clue where that piece fits. Any help would be great.
Thanks,
Ken

We would need a picture to even make a guess what it might be. Possibly the over-travel stop, (which sits inside the frame just behind the trigger), but it isn't gold.
Was the gun fully assembled or had you removed the side plate?

Maybe a piece of brass from a fired shell? If this is an early K22, check your front sight to see if your call gold bead is missing.

Except for a Call or McGivern gold bead in the front sight, which you probably don't have, there is nothing either gold or brass in any S&W revolver. Don't worry about it, it doesn't belong no matter what it is.

Pictures always help in this situation. But likely a stray piece of metal found its way in there.
