Default 586 L-comp finish durability

Looking into adding one of these to my collection next. I know that the "blueing" is more of a matte finish. How well does this hold up to carry over a period of time.

Hi, just bought one of these recently. Nice gun, but too big and heavy to be an EDC for me. I have read, however, that this modern bluing finish is susceptible to wear from cleaning with solvents such as Hoppe's #9. I have used Hoppe's to clean this gun several times: there has been no finish wear/damage. Not much help, I'm afraid, but best I can offer.
