Default new to me 29-6 with 5 inch barrel, short barrel long story

As it is in NJ: if you have a license paper in hand (one for each gun, 30 day wait signed by the chief yada yada) that license is itching to get spent. I'm frustrated, I have nothing lined up, nothing I need, nothing I have my eye on. In that frame of mind I walk into my local toy store casually looking around until my eyes almost popped, dusty, caked over by old reddish oil, no box but unfired looking.

Here she is: 5'' barrel, cleaned up super nice, action is smooth, blue to die for with the old style thumb release. I put a set of Hogue Tamers on. Shoots at 25 yards off hand like a dream.

A friend at the club has the same gun. It's extremely accurate. Nice pick up.

Nice! I'd like to find one to go with my 629-3 classic 5 inch.

Nice gun. Can you still get 3 permits at a time in Jersey?

Wow, looking good! The dash 6 29s have really been popping up lately. That's a beautiful gun & a good looking target too.
Congrats on a sweet find buddy!

I looked at one of those real hard. Great looking guns, price a little high.

Then an ad popped up for a 6 1/2" 29-2 Dirty Harry gun for $800. It's in my safe now.
