681 makeover
Mail call came yesterday at my LGS. I picked up a 681 no dash REALLY CHEAP. I'm not a fan of the grips but don't have any k/l square butts laying around. Someone did a ****** polish job to it so I bead blasted it and like it a lot better

You did a good job on the blasting and the 681 is a real sleeper of a gun. One of my favorites.

Does it have a AAAxxxx serial number? Or at least a very low one? I ask because the S&W logo is on the right side plate. Only the very earliest L-frame were mark that way. Likely a 1980 - 1982 gun. Among the first M681's.
